Jordan Basketball

Russel Westbrook Signature Why Not 2.0

"It is always exciting to work with the best athlete in the business. Russ is a dynamic guy and just being in the room with him, you feel his energy—he is always moving, even a bit jittery. As part of the design team, we knew "controled chaos" could be a great design theme.

This silhouette takes materials like a dream and I wanted them to feel different yet cohesive. From a performance perspective they had to be light, but from an aesthetic need, very dimensional. There are two custom designed knits, one to protray speed and one to showcase his logo. My favorite details are the oversized webbing and two tone lace that make it playful."

material design

Footwear has become my specialty, with over 14 years of experience working for brands such as Patagonia, Chaco, Jordan Brand, and Nike Inc. I love designing performance materials that allow people to explore the world and push the boundaries of athleticism in their daily lives.

cmf design

Color and finish are my passion. Cultivating an emotional response to color and textures is so important in a world becoming more digitally engaged. When I have been part of creating an object that "just feels right" it has served it's first purpose—comfort and joy.

textile craft

Textiles carry with them a history and a memory. I come from a family of quilters, a tradition passed on through the female lineage. Connecting textiles back to natural color application and handtouched craft, verses machine application, brings a nostaligia that comforts and connects me back to myself. I currently explore the poetic link between textiles and words and have found a practice of self-expression in that natural creative space.
