Welcome to my digital portfolio.
I am currently a Design Director at Nike, guiding material and finishes for Women’s Performance Footwear team. In my free time I experiment with natural dyes, letterpress printing, and free verse poetry. I grew up in the south and worked my way across the country via Vermont and Chicago. I now reside with my family in Portland Oregon, eating lots of gluten-free treats and always on the search for the best margarita.

Footwear has become my specialty, with over 14 years of experience working for brands such as Patagonia, Chaco, Jordan Brand, and Nike Inc. I love designing performance materials that allow people to explore the world and push the boundaries of athleticism in their daily lives.
cmf design
Color and finish are my passion. Cultivating an emotional response to color and textures is so important in a world becoming more digitally engaged. When I have been part of creating an object that "just feels right" it has served it's first purpose—comfort and joy.
textile craft
Textiles carry with them a history and a memory. I come from a family of quilters, a tradition passed on through the female lineage. Connecting textiles back to natural color application and handtouched craft, verses machine application, brings a nostaligia that comforts and connects me back to myself. I currently explore the poetic link between textiles and words and have found a practice of self-expression in that natural creative space.
