Moto Maker was a modulated online system that allowed the consumer to customize their smart phone. I explored a variety of materials and finishes that had never been used on a smart phone before, such as accetate, bamboo with color fades and marblized silicone. Creating the right finishes and color options allowed for a more expressive aesthetic as well as options that fit all tastes and styles.
Understanding cultural trends, preferences and universal connections to color were needed when making a tight, yet globally relevant color palette built on "choice." Each year the updated color options would have to fit along side colors that carried over year after year. FOAM was a new color that was identified as connecting well with the Asian market.
PULSE wireless headphones were a collaboration with an external design firm for the industrial design. I finalized the project with color and finish, rendering the product in 3D throughout the design process.
CLARITY 2017 was the broad Motorola seaonal narrative based on macro trends to create a brand point of view for all design functions— product, UX, CMF, packaging, brand voice, and photography style. I had the honor of bringing this project to life and sharing the deck across the various disciplines and leadership teams.

Footwear has become my specialty, with over 14 years of experience working for brands such as Patagonia, Chaco, Jordan Brand, and Nike Inc. I love designing performance materials that allow people to explore the world and push the boundaries of athleticism in their daily lives.
Color and finish are my passion. Cultivating an emotional response to color and textures is so important in a world becoming more digitally engaged. When I have been part of creating an object that "just feels right" it has served it's first purpose—comfort and joy.
Textiles carry with them a history and a memory. I come from a family of quilters, a tradition passed on through the female lineage. Connecting textiles back to natural color application and handtouched craft, verses machine application, brings a nostaligia that comforts and connects me back to myself. I currently explore the poetic link between textiles and words and have found a practice of self-expression in that natural creative space.
